Interprofessionality in Healthcare

The support program "Interprofessionality in Healthcare 2017-2020", implemented by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), had the aim to improve interprofessional cooperation in the healthcare system and thereby to increase efficiency of healthcare delivery. The results were summarized in four Policy Briefs, which were developed in collaboration between the FOPH, Interface and the Swiss Learning Health System (SLHS). The four policy briefs address the topics of interprofessional collaboration in (1) inpatient and (2) outpatient care, at the (3) psychosomatic interface, and (4) the promotion of interprofessionality in education.

The policy briefs concisely capture key findings on the various topics and make recommendations for further action. The recommendations were discussed and validated in four stakeholder dialogues and are primarily aimed at policy-makers, education officials and service providers.
