Prof. Luca Crivelli
Luca Crivelli is an economist specialized in public health policy and health insurance. He is head of department and professor at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland, titular professor at the Università della Svizzera italiana and Deputy Director of the Swiss School of Public Health+ (SSPH+). He received his degree in Economics in 1991 and the PhD in 1998, both from the University of Zuerich. Since 2004 he has been active as policy analyst within the international health policy and reform network initiated by the Bertelsmann Foundation. From 2004 to 2007 he has been part of the advisory committee of the Swiss conference of cantonal health ministers covering the on-going reforms of Swiss health insurance and since 2013 he has been member of the experts’ committee of the National health policy strategy “Gesundheit2020”. Moreover, he is associate editor of the International Journal of Public Health and the International Review of Economics - Journal of Civil Economy as well as on the editorial board of Health Policy and Politiche Sanitarie.
